Our clients hired us to completely redesign a run down 1930’s house they had just purchased, the property had remained largely unchanged for the past 40 years.

Our brief was to redesign the house and gardens to create a modern and contemporary light filled home. Our clients wish list included… more living space, two luxury wet rooms, master suite with dressing room, new kitchen, new lighting, heating, electrics, plumbing, windows and a new landscaped back garden with a pond.

What we did:

After listening carefully to our clients wants and needs we agreed to strip the house back to a shell and build a new home from the inside out. This solution would not only be faster and therefore cheaper but would allow us to create a more dynamic and modern space for them to live in.

We reconfigured the internal space and converted the loft to house the master suite. The first floor layout was redesigned to accommodate the entrance to the master suite with a dressing room and limestone wet room with a walk through shower. A further two bedrooms and limestone shower room made up the remainder of the first floor living space.

On the ground floor we knocked three rooms into one incorporating an open kitchen with an island bar and opened up the back of the house with five panel folding glass doors opening onto a large deck leading down to a newly landscaped garden.
